We are excited to announce that Kitty has joined the LEaF Translations team on a full-time basis!
Kitty has been completing freelance work with LEaF Translations since April 2021 in a variety of roles across the business. She started with four weeks of work experience whilst completing a BA in French and Italian at the University of York and has never left! Since then she has established our newsletter (which still runs on a monthly basis), kept the company Instagram and LinkedIn profiles (mostly) up to date, completed translation and proofreading tasks, and eventually built up to assisting with managing our translation projects.
After graduating from the University of York, Kitty deepened her knowledge of the translation industry by enrolling in the Applied Translation Masters course at the University of Leeds. Although she is still waiting for her results and graduation, Kitty has now completed her studies and is ready to take the next step in her translation career.
Today is Kitty’s first day in full-time employment at LEaF Translations where she will be working as a translation project manager. Her role will involve overseeing our translation projects from start to finish, keeping in contact with all those involved, and ensuring that the translations we deliver are of the highest quality. She will also be continuing her role with social media and our monthly newsletter.
“Over the past few years, my knowledge and experience in the translation industry has considerably increased, both through my translation studies and work experience. Lucy has supported me throughout my time at university, by providing me with such helpful advice and invaluable experience, and I am very excited to continue working alongside her and Kate to help the business succeed. LEaF Translations has been a massive part of my translation journey and so it feels just right to be starting my next chapter in the working world here.”
Kitty Trewhitt, Project Manager at LEaF Translations
“We are absolutely thrilled to have Kitty join the team on a full-time basis. She has a real passion for translation and has played a key role in helping LEaF become the translation company that it is today. We are extremely excited about what the future holds for LEaF Translations and we are so much stronger with Kitty on board.”
