LAKA first got in touch with us in August 2022 – they were looking for a reliable partner with expertise in both localisation and international SEO to translate their UK website into German. One of their employees had worked with us as part of their role in their previous company, and they had highly recommended our services to their new employer.

The client:
Revolutionary bicycle insurance company LAKA are on a mission to change the face of insurance. Describing themselves as ‘a collective of optimists that look out for each other on and off our bikes,’ LAKA are certainly a client who we were excited to work with.
Project size and duration:
The translation project focused around translating LAKA’s UK website into German for the German market. With the market launch just around the corner, a quick turnaround was vital, and the project included additional social media translations to accompany the web pages.
Besides the tight deadlines, it was also extremely important to create web copy that matched the informal, friendly tone of the UK website in line with LAKA’s very clear brand voice.
It was a challenge that our German team relished. Our lead German translator’s passion for cycling ensured that all the terminology was spot-on, while the proofreading and editing by another of our highly experienced native-speaker translators ensured that the German content was of an extremely high standard.
This was a large project with a tight turnaround but thanks to our wonderful team of German translators, we delivered on time and LAKA was really pleased with our work.
