Faultless Spanish translations tailored to your needs
Spanish is the official language of no less than 20 countries and across the globe, more than 400 million speak it as their native language. Spanning just about every continent, Spanish is the world’s second-most spoken native language following Mandarin Chinese.
Home to nearly 48 million people, Spain finds itself as one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world, with 82 million people making a journey to the country in 2018. Supported in part by its much-loved and flourishing tourism industry, Spain is the 13th largest economy in the world, which is why so many companies rely on high-quality Spanish translations.
Whether you’re in need of translations for travel and tourism, such as hotel websites, restaurant menus or guide books, or more technical translations, such as instruction manuals or educational materials, we’ve got you covered.
Each one of our native translators is selected for their love of language and translation expertise and experience. This means that our Spanish to English translators are highly skilled in Spanish and native speakers in English. Likewise, our English to Spanish translators are fluent in English and are native speakers in Spanish.
If you’re in need of Spanish translations to or from other languages, we are more than happy to work to your needs.

Certified Spanish to English translations
As well as providing translations for business, we also offer certified and official translations for official purposes. From official translations for passports or ID cards, or academic translations for university applications, we have a small team of certified Spanish translators on hand for official materials and documents.
Every single certified translation comes as a paper copy accompanied with an official stamp and certificate from the translator. Both the certificate and stamp must be provided to the relevant passport office or provided with the official translation for validation to be successful.
If you have any questions about our official or certified Spanish translations, get in touch by calling us on 01904 373 077, or email us at hello@leaftranslations.com.

…that we are committed to Net Zero? Besides doing everything we can to keep our carbon emissions to the bare minimum, we also work together with the good people at Ecologi to help fund climate projects around the world and to plant the equivalent of 50 trees a month.
Affordable Spanish translations that work for you
We curate every project that we work on so that it is designed around your personal needs and goals. Whether you’re a business or an individual, our tailored and personal approach means that you get intelligent and flawless translations every single time.
As translators, we are well aware that some companies and individuals rely on free services and apps, such as Google Translate. Although these services work perfectly well for holidays and the like, they miss out both the finer and more obvious linguistic rules and elements involved in high-quality translation.
Knowing that businesses and individuals still need high-quality translations on smaller budgets, we are proud to offer competitive prices for everyone in need of our Spanish translation services. What’s more, as LEaF is not VAT registered – we do not charge VAT on our services and can offer a saving of around 20% based on this fact alone.
Lean, agile and with a passion for language and translation, we’re dedicated to keeping our prices low so that our services are affordable and budget-friendly. While some translation companies have a habit of outsourcing their work to the cheapest freelancers available, sometimes via other budget translation agencies based overseas, at LEaF, we have a dedicated and passionate team composed of some of the most qualified and experienced translators available.

Case study: Spanish keyword research and SEO translations for a Leeds-based digital marketing agency
Since the beginning of 2020, we have been working together with a digital marketing agency in Leeds to provide Spanish keyword research and SEO translation services for one of their clients.
The digital marketing agency has learnt through experience that when keywords are simply translated from one language to another they result in keywords with a low search volume. Languages tend to express things in different ways and direct translations of keywords do not capture these nuances.
What does this mean for multilingual keyword research?
In order to find effective keywords, the actual keyword research needs to be conducted in the target language itself.
LEaF Translations has a pool of experienced translators who are also experts in SEO and keyword research. This means that, by working with a translation company like LEaF, digital marketing agencies can outsource the multilingual keyword research to our expert translators and achieve excellent results.
The feedback I’ve had is that the work is very impressive. We’re all thrilled and will look to supply similar work in the future.

Everyday Spanish: have you had a good sobremesa?
We all know that for the Spanish, eating is a big event during the day that is shared with the entire family. Eating in restaurants more than most, the Spanish even have special words for their eating habits, with one of the most interesting being sobremesa.
This is the Spanish tradition of relaxing at a table after a heavy meal and can last for a full hour, especially in the summertime or on special occasions. During this time, it is common for people to enjoy coffee, tea or even liqueur served in a shot glass.
A time when people may enjoy an especially long sobremesa could be on what is known as a puente, which is a holiday that is taken as a “bridge” between a bank holiday and the weekend. This is because unlike the UK, Spain sometimes has bank holidays that fall on Tuesdays or Thursdays.
An important thing, however, is not to mix your puentes with your duendes, as duendesare little goblins or house elves known for causing mischief throughout Spain, Latin America, and even the Philippines.
