Never ones to rest on our laurels, we are making this announcement less than 6 months after announcing that we had joined the UK’s leading professional body for translation companies. We were crowned the ATC’s Member of the Month back in August and have now joined an esteemed list of fully accredited translation companies in the UK.
What is the Association of Translation Companies?
The Association of Translation Companies (ATC) is the leading voice for companies operating in the UK’s language services industry.
Founded in 1976, by a small group of translation companies, the ATC is now an international association, promoting the value of language skills, translation and interpreting.
The ATC promotes quality-driven language services and best practices to create recognition and trust, and thus defines standards of excellence for language service companies here in the UK.
What is an accredited translation company?
The Association of Translation Companies has two levels of membership – associate and accredited. Both associate and accredited members have to commit to the ATC’s Code of Professional Conduct. In order to become an accredited member, translation companies undergo rigorous background checks for financial and operational viability and quality management practices.
In short, becoming an accredited member of the Association of Translation Companies confirms our commitment to providing excellent translations, to promoting fair business practices and is further evidence of our status as a highly respected UK translation company.
What does this mean for LEaF Translations?
Besides the recognition and status, becoming an accredited translation company means that LEaF Translations now holds the prestigious Association of Translation Companies’ Certification Stamp. This means that LEaF Translations is authorised to provide certified translations of official documents, suitable for use for official purposes, such as applying for residence permits, visas, academic positions and degree courses.
